I have an informal wager running with a handful of people on the following question:

What year will cars that are autonomous-capable constitute over 50% of the cars sold in that model year?

I began this wager in 2015, and I said "within 7 years". Giving myself credit for the fact that 2016 model year cars start being sold in late 2015, I'm going to clarify my prediction to say that the 2023 model year is my target prediction.

I acknowledge this is optimistic. Here's a list of the beliefs that drive my prediction (which I may update from time to time on this blog post):

Outside the window of my in-home studio the leaves on the trees are starting to turn yellow and fall to the ground. I love summer, but fall in New England is a glorious time. The weather is awesome, the colors of the trees become incredible, and the feeling of holidays approaching is fun. So, seasons move on, and we must live with it. (Though none of this inspired my set – just the set name & artwork ;-)

(I'm a bit ashamed my reviews aren't more extensive; I'm not a good keeper-of-notes while I read, and I'm usually on to the next one by the time I get to writing a review for a prior one, so I don't always have the full recollection of what's in the past-read book.)
